Beauty and hair salons

Accounting for beauty and hair salons, from the fiscal receipt to clean taxes.

Biro Vision provides specialized accounting for beauty, hair, cosmetic and nail salons, whether you operate as a flat-rate sole trader or as a sole trader or company that keeps its books. We understand that in this trade fiscalization, daily cash takings and the procurement of cosmetics and consumables intersect every day, so we take over the issuing of fiscal receipts, the recording of cash turnover and your inventory, letting you focus on your clients. We help you choose the most favorable tax form, from flat-rate taxation to full bookkeeping, and correctly calculate employee payroll and the chair or space rental for the stylists you engage. With us, fiscal receipts, cash turnover and tax obligations stay properly recorded and met on time.

What you need to get started

  1. 01 APR registration: establishing a sole trader or company with a primary activity code from personal services (96.02 hairdressing and other beauty treatment), and deciding whether you operate as a flat-rate payer or keep business books.
  2. 02 Fiscalization: mandatory installation of an electronic fiscal device (an ESIR or L-PFR, with a V-PFR in the virtual setup) bearing a security element, and issuing a fiscal receipt for every retail transaction paid by individuals through the Tax Administration's e-fiscalization system.
  3. 03 Tax status and thresholds: determining the tax form, while monitoring the RSD 6,000,000 turnover threshold for retaining flat-rate status and the separate RSD 8,000,000 threshold over the previous 12 months for mandatory registration in the VAT system (or voluntary registration below the threshold).
  4. 04 Premises and permits: meeting the prescribed sanitary, hygiene and technical requirements for the salon, health inspections and health booklets for staff and, where prescribed, approvals from the competent authorities before opening.
  5. 05 Collection and premises: opening a business bank account, arranging cashless payment (a POS terminal or instant payment) and, if you rent out a chair or part of the space to other stylists, a proper lease or business cooperation agreement.
  6. 06 Employee registration: registering staff for mandatory social insurance via the CROSO portal before they start work, with proper arrangement of the status of engaged stylists (employee, chair tenant or own sole trader).
