What you need to get started

  1. 01 Registration with APR: setting up a company or sole trader with the appropriate activity code from the land transport division (division 49, e.g. 4941 for road freight or 4931/4939 for passenger transport).
  2. 02 Licenses and certificates: obtaining the license for freight or passenger transport from the competent ministry, along with the certificate of professional competence for the transport manager.
  3. 03 VAT and fiscal obligations: registering in the VAT system where required, determining tax status, and setting up records in line with regulations.
  4. 04 Vehicles: registration and mandatory insurance of vehicles, with proper recording of ownership, leasing, or rental in the books.
  5. 05 Operational records: introducing travel orders, tachograph records, and driver working time logs from the first day of operation.
